For our last couple of weeks in Romania my team and I did not have a ministry to direct us in what to do so we’ve had to go straight to the source to know what kind of ministry work to do. We’ve had to ask the Big Man himself, and by Big Man I mean … well God. That’s right we asked God!! And you know these Christian organizations always have to have a acronym for everything so around here we call that ATL. ASK THE LORD!
So that’s what the team has been doing for the last Romanian days. Going into this time of a kind of limbo we were not sure what exactly God wanted for us but we decided that even if we didn’t know exactly what we were doing God would use it for good. As we went along we found that some of our ministry was prayer. Just simply prayer. We have been on many a prayer walks around the towns we have been in, we pray every morning before we go out, and we pray over each other. This time of prayer has allowed me to see the importance of taking everything to my Heavenly Father. Truthfully I don’t think I’ve ever prayed this much in my life but my team and I made it a goal to always be praying in everything we do. Like it says in 1 Thessalonians 5:17: “pray without ceasing”. Even when I felt like I had nothing to say to God I’ve found that just sitting in His presence was so good. That is something I want to take with me even after the Race, endless unceasing prayer. In between the praying We have met a lot of interesting people and tried our hardest to minister to them, some gladly accept and some love to talk about their religion and hear what we have to say about Jesus, others don’t want to talk, and others love to rant to us about something they feel very strongly in and not really listen to anything we say. Every interaction I pray somehow will glorify God no matter how short or seemly un-meaningful they might be. God has taken us to some beautiful places, we have been in 3 different towns, Alba Iulia, Sibiu, and Brosov and I am thankful to have the opportunity to see more of Romania.
There is a quick glance at the last week of my life on the World Race. Next time I write I will be in an entirely new country with a entirely new ministry and a whole new team too.
Much love! Thanks for the prayers!
